Last week, we had a friend who came to Sydney to work for a few days & this friend is actually our Missy Eileen’s husband, Mr C.  Since his stay in Sydney was quite a rush, we wasted no time but decided to meet up in Darling Harbour for dinner on last Thu.  Living in Sydney for so many years, I still do not dare to drive across the Sydney Harbour Bridge, so, that night, I had no choice but to catch a bus, then train with few bags & a camera that I was carrying with. There was an awkward moment when my bags were stuck between the seats when I struggled my way out of the train during busy hours & now that I thought of it, it was quite funny!

Mr C has become our “international postman” & we didn’t miss out the chance of having some gifts in exchange with the ladies from Penang & these ladies are EileenJocelineAngieCasey & Mandy! Thanks again for the gifts! Though I only met with Mr C once via Skype, we had a lot to talk about, from A to Z, from East to North, hehe! He is a very nice guy.  And the restaurant that we chose to dine in is a Brazilian restaurant, called Braza which serves unlimited rounds of Brazilian barbecue food which includes the beef, lamb, chicken, pork, prawns, chorizos,  roasted pineapple & etc which add up to 24 varieties of food!  Besides the mains, we also get free flow of side dishes & there are 12 side dishes to choose from. Click here to view the full menu. Glad to know that Mr. C enjoyed the meal very much!

Barbecued pineapple was the highlight for the night.  It was juicy & salty & it taste great!

My favourite side dish is this one that looks like deep-fried tofu & I forgot to check what it was. My guess is the deep-fried polenta.

这烤鸡共做了两次,喜欢那简单的食谱却可以做出一到美味的烤鸡,谢谢Min的分享!我家公主很喜欢,如果连她都爱吃的话,这肯定是值一试的食谱!
Now, let’s talk about this roasted chicken which I've cooked twice so far.  It has become my regular cooking dish in this winter!  The recipe that I used this time is very simple & you only need a couple of ingredients to roast a yummylicious chicken! Or shall I say again, it was fingerlicking good? Thanks to Min(Min’s Blog) for her recipe!

蜜汁芝麻烤鸡
Honey Sesame Roasted Chicken
(Recipe Source: Min’s Blog with Minor Adjustment)
Serves 2

Ingredients:
500g or 2 Chicken Maryland
2tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2tbsp Honey
4 Cloves Garlic, crushed
2tbsp Water
Pepper to Taste
1tsp White Sesame Seeds, toasted

Method:
1. Make a few cuts on the chicken maryland or prick the maryland with a skewer. Pour all the seasonings on the chicken & marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Preheat oven to 190C & roast until the chicken are golden & cooked through.
3. Sprinkle with the toasted sesame seeds.

Tip:
1. If you want to replace the worcestershire sauce with cooking wine, please reduce the honey by about 1/2tbsp.

2. During the cooking time, remove the baking pan, spoon the hot sizzling marinade & pour onto the chicken & vegetable.  Change the position of the chicken in order to get an even golden colour.

Optional Ingredients:
2 Medium Orange Sweet Potatoes, cut in cubes
2 Brown Onions, sliced
Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper to taste
Dried/Fresh Mixed Herbs

Method:
1. Place the sweet potatoes & brown onions onto the baking pan in a single layer.  Drizzle with oil & add salt & pepper to taste.  Add the mixed herbs.
2. Place the chicken marylands on top of the vegetable & pour in the marinade. Cook in the 190C preheated oven until the chicken marylands are golden or cooked through.

~~Enjoy~~

PS:I have noticed that this time the highligh problem didn't show up at all. The difference is that I do everything in order from top to bottom which is slightly longer than before, which is I inserted the 1st 2 photos first, followed by pasting my wordings from Microsoft Word, then insert the photo again......
